This Surprising Statistic isn’t just a number, it's a Wake Up Call for many of us who have been Struggling with Unexplained Pain.

In our Fast-Paced World, where Quick Fixes and Over-the-Counter Pain Pills have become the 'Norm', it's easy to Overlook the Profound Connection between our Diet, our Thoughts, and our Pain.

Managing our Pain may even Hold us Back from Living our Best Lives.

Understanding Canada's Food Guide BEFORE 2019

Is it any wonder we really don't know what we should be Eating and Drinking?

Canada’s Food Guide from 2007-2019, followed a more Traditional Model, Emphasizing Four Food Groups and Daily serving Recommendations.

🔑KEY Features of the 2007-2019 Food Guide:

✅ Included Four Food Groups – Vegetables & Fruits, Grain Products, Milk & Alternatives, and Meat & Alternatives
✅ Emphasized Dairy & Meat Consumption – Recommended Milk, Cheese, and Meat as Essential Sources of Calcium and Protein
✅ Portion-Based Guidance – Encouraged specific daily servings based on age and gender
✅ Industry-Influenced – The recommendations Heavily Reflected Dairy and Meat Industry Interests (Did you Read that?)

This Guide Encouraged Balanced Meals, however, Did Not Focus as much on Plant Based Nutrition OR, the Quality of Food Choices and, Promoted Processed Dairy and Refined Grains as part of a "Healthy Diet". 

Understanding Canada's Food Guide AFTER 2019

Canada last updated its Food Guide in 2019.

This was a Major Shift from the previous version, were it was replaced with a Simplified Whole-Foods approach, and Prioritizing Plant Based Eating while Moving AWAY FROM Industry-Driven Recommendations. (Did you Read that?) 

🔑KEY Changes in the 2019 Update:

Removed the Traditional Food Groups (no more "Meat & Alternatives" or "Dairy & Alternatives") Did you Read that?
Focused on Whole, Plant Based Foods, Promoting More Fruits, Vegetables, Whole Grains, and Plant Proteins
Encouraged Water as the Drink of Choice over Milk or Juice
Emphasized Healthy Eating Habits, like Cooking at Home and Being MINDful of Food Choices

This simplified, Whole-Food Approach, was to make it Easier for Canadians to Prioritize Health over Industry-Driven Guidelines. 

The Traditional 'Poor' Diet

Many of us have been Raised On, or Grown Accustomed to the Traditional 'Poor' Diet.

A Diet that not only Fails to NOURISH our Bodies, but Actively Contributes to Chronic Pain!

Our Food Industry has Bombarded our Grocery Shelves, TV's, Roadways and MINDs with 'Convenience Meals', Processed and Refined Foods and Beverages that are High in Sugar, Unhealthy Fats and Artificial Additives.  These Foods and Drinks are Made to Taste Good, and are Designed for Convenience, that have nothing to do with our Well-Being.​

Foods That Cause Pain

The Foods and Drinks we Consume, have a Direct Impact on our Health, and many Processed, Inflammatory, and Highly Acidic Foods can be the Hidden Cause of Pain and Chronic Pain.

From Refined Grains and Dairy, to Highly Processed Meats and Sugary Foods, these Choices Trigger Inflammation, Joint Pain, Headaches, and Digestive Discomfort, all leading to a Cycle of Pain that many of us don't even realize is linked to our 'Poor' Diet.

Understanding how these Foods affect our Body is the First Step to Reducing Pain and Embracing True Healing!


🍬 Refined Sugars & Sweeteners:
One of the Biggest Culprits in our Poor Diet is Refined Sugar and its Sneaky Relatives, like High-Fructose Corn Syrup.

These ingredients cause Rapid Spikes and Crashes in Blood Sugar, which in turn, Trigger Inflammatory Responses in our Body.

Over time, this Inflammation can Manifest as Joint Pain, Muscle Stiffness, and even Headaches. The constant Blood Sugar Rollercoaster makes it harder for our Body to maintain balance and function optimally.

🍟 Unhealthy Fats:
Trans Fats and Saturated Fats, commonly Found in Fried Foods, Processed Snacks, and many Fast Foods, play a significant role in Fueling Inflammation.

Processed Foods are often Loaded with Artificial Additives, Preservatives, and Colorings.

While these ingredients help extend Shelf Life and enhance Flavor, they also Disrupt our Natural Metabolic Processes.

The Result is a Body that is constantly on High Alert, Battling the Stress caused by these Chemical Intruders, often at the expense of our Well-Being.

🧂 Excessive Sodium:
Many Traditional Poor Diets are High in TABLE SALT, which can lead to Water Retention and Increased Blood Pressure.
