However, Beginning NOW gives us a KICK START that can Lead to Lasting Changes in our Mental and Physical Health, as well as our Emotional Well-Being.

It can give us a Head Start Towards our GOALS by Practicing, Building, Perusing and Dedicating Ourselves Every Day to Changes that Move us Forward.

#1 - Prioritize Mental Health

Maintaining Positive Mental Health is so important as it affects every aspect of our Lives, from Relationships to Work Performance.

A Positive Daily Routine to Start our Day in a Positive Way is to Cultivate 'ME TIME' by Meditating.  By Calming our MINDS we set a Positive Tone for the Day. 

Practicing MINDfulness helps us Reduce Stress, Improves our Mental Focus and Clarity, as well as, Enhances our Emotional Resilience for what's ahead.

Another Positive 'ME TIME' Mental Health Practice is Gratitude Journaling. 

By Spending Time Reflecting on our Day and Focusing on what we are Grateful for, it helps Improve our Self-Awareness, Boosts our Mood in a Positive way, and helps us Track our Personal Progress and Goals over time

BUILD THE HABIT:

Gratitude Idea:
  A Gratitude Jar is an Easy and Visually Impactful way to Grow Appreciation.  Each day, Write down One Thing we're Grateful for on a small piece of paper, and drop it in the Jar.  Over Time, our Jar fills up with Positive Memories, Moments and Meaningful Appreciation, giving us a Tangible Reminder of our Blessings.

Whenever we need an Emotional Boost, pull out one of our Gratitude Notes!

#2.  Enhance Physical Health

When we Enhance our Physical Health with Functional Fitness, it Focuses on Strengthening our Muscles that we use in Everyday Activities.

It also Improves our Balance, Flexibility and Endurance.

By Incorporating Body Weight Exercises like Squats, Lunges, Plants etc., these Exercise help us Maintain our Physical Health by Keeping us Fit, Toned and Agile.

BUILD THE HABIT:

Exercise Tip:  Start by Scheduling a Daily Time to do these Short, Consistent Workouts, along with a Few Minutes of Stretching. 

Set your Alarm Hourly throughout the day, as a Reminder for Quick Stretching and Mobility Exercises to Increase Flexibility and Reduce Muscle Stiffness, especially after Long Periods of Sitting.

#3. Adopt Sustainable Nutrition

One of the Best Habits to Establish Today, is incorporating More RAW Plant Based Foods into our FUELstyle.

Creating a Consistent Bedtime and Awake Time Routine helps Regulate our Sleep Cycle, which allows for Better Rest during our Sleep, and Increased Energy when we Wake.

Aim for 7-8 hours of Sound Sleep Every Night by Avoiding Any Digital Screens at Least One Hour Before Bedtime, Avoid Consuming Foods 4 Hours Before Bedtime, and don't Drink any Liquids at least One Hour Before Bedtime. Otherwise, these things will Disrupt our Peaceful and Sound Sleep Cycle.

Our Bedtime is a Routine we need to Build, similar to our Morning Routine.  We need Time to Wind Down, Relax and Get Ready to Enjoy our Sleep.

BUILD THE HABIT:

Sleep Tip: Set a Consistent Bed-Time and Wake-Up Time, Even on Weekends and Holidays, which Helps to Keep our Body in a Natural Rhythm. This Consistency will Improve our Quality of Sleep and, will make us Feel Energized in the Mornings.

#5. Embrace Self-Growth

A Commitment to Self-Growth can Transform our MINDset, Improve Focus and Create Opportunities for Life-Long Learning.

We can do this by Setting Aside Time Each Day to Read Personal Development Books, Listen to EmPOWERing Podcasts, Watch Informative, Motivational YouTube Videos and Movies.

These POWERful Daily Actions, help give us Tools, Inspiration and Motivation to Master our Goals in the New Year!

BUILD THE HABIT:
