Life can often Feel as though we don't have enough Time to do Everything we Need to do, let alone, Want to do.

In this Blog, we will Explain How to Turn OVERWHELM into UNDERWHELM!

Learn How we can Manage our MINDset so we can Regain Balance and Move through our Days with Emotional Resilience and Confidence.

What FEELings Cause Overwhelm

Why are we FEELing OVERWHELMED? 

This is the Most Important Question we can Ask Ourselves. 

Identifying the Root Cause of our Overwhelm is the First Step towards Managing it.

Once we Pinpoint WHAT we are FEELing, we can Adapt Solutions that will work for us Moving Forward.   

When there seems too Much on our Plate, it often causes us to FEEL FRUSTRATED or ANXIOUS, causing us to Shut Down, Procrastinate and Ultimately, Not Doing Anything. 

When we Lack Clarity, it means we are unsure of Where to Start, Everything FEELs CONFUSING and then, we don't know What To Do Next.

When we Need to be Perfect, and to do Everything 'Perfectly', it leaves us FEELing INADEQUATE and, Nothing Ends up Getting Done.

When we FEEL these Emotions, This is a GOOD THING!

It helps us to Pay Attention to the THOUGHTS we are Having, which most probably, are Negative Thoughts . . .

"I can't do all of this"   "How am I going to get all of this done"   "I'm a failure"

Our MINDset needs a Positive Adjustment. 

It's up to us to Re-direct our Negative Thoughts like the ones above and Create NEW THOUGHTS like . . .

"I can do this"   "Today I am Prioritizing and Focusing on those Tasks"   "I choose to be Positive no Matter what"

Master Our Time

How Can we Master Our Time?

Time is One of Our MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCES!

Learning to Manage it Well is the🔑KEY to Reducing OVERWHELM.

Time-Blocking. Dedicating Specific Chunks of Time to Specific Tasks can Help with FEELing CLEAR.  These Periods of Time will Provide Clarity for us Knowing What To Do and When.  There's no Guessing What To Do Next!

Touching Something Once and Dealing with it No Matter What, will help us FEEL SATISFIED by Accomplishing More of our Tasks.

This means, if we Find a Sock in our Couch, we Make the Effort right away, to put it away in the appropriate Drawer. Another Example can be, when we pick up a Piece of Paper on our Desk, that's what we have to work on and Complete!

Prioritize and Focus on the Most Important Tasks in order to get Maximum Results, and Delegating Lower Priority Activities, will leave us FEELing FULFILLED, and that we are Enough.

Set Time Limits for Certain Tasks, so we can Maintain Focus and Prevent Burnout while Ensuring Tasks don't take Longer than necessary.  Doing this, helps us to FEEL CALM, and in Control.

And by Batching Similar Tasks together such as, Answering Emails and Making Calls, we can Maximize our Time better, which helps us to FEEL like we are SATISFIED with ourselves.

How to Build Emotional Resilience

It’s HOW we THINK about something that Causes our FEELings. When we CHANGE our THOUGHTS, we CHANGE our FEELings.

And the same is said, if we want to FEEL Differently, we must CHANGE our THINKing.

Our FEELings are Our SuperPower as they are the Windows into our Thoughts.

Here are a Few Ways to CHANGE OUR MINDset in order to FEEL Positive, Happy and, in UNDER-WHELM!  

#1. Practice MINDful Breathing

When we Start FEELing Negative Emotions, take a Moment to Breathe Deeply, Inhale for 4 Counts, Hold for 4 Counts, and Exhale for six Counts, while SHIFTing our THOUGHTS to More EmPOWERing ones. 

This helps to Re-Center, Re-Think and Re-Focus!

#2. Adopt a Gratitude Practice

When we start THINKing Thoughts of What's Wrong or Incomplete, FLIP our SCRIPT to Thoughts of GRATITUDE.

By Focusing on Gratitude, it SHIFTS our Negative Thinking to Positive.

#3. Reframe OverWhelm as UnderWhelm!

FEELings of Overwhelm, give us Chances to Grow, Learn and, Re-Direct our Thoughts. 

Instead of Thinking about our Tasks as Burdens, Think about them as Opportunities.  

This MENTAL SHIFT, or Perspective will Lighten our FEELings of OverWhelm and our Tasks will become FEELings of UNDER-WHELM, meaning we won't be Emotionally Affected by them.

FUEL Our Body First

FUELing our MIND starts with FUELing our Body!

In order to Handle
​MINDset SHIFTing, we need to FUEL our Bodies with HIGH-NUTRIENT Foods. 

#1. Eat for Energy

A RAW Plant Based, Nutrient-Rich FUELstyle, is Living Food.  It's full of Energy and Life.  FUELing our Bodies with this type of Food, will Boost our Energy Levels and help us Maintain Mental Clarity and Focus.

Cooked, Heavy, Processed Meals, contribute to Low Vibrations, Low Energy and Low Negative Thoughts.

#2. Move Our Body

It's RAWmazing what a quick 15-minute Walk or a Yoga Session can do for our Mood, Emotions and Focus. 

When we Move for More than 15 Minutes, whether Physical Activity, Exercise or Sports, we are on a High!

#3. Prioritize Sleep

​Sleep is our Body's Time to Re-CHARGE!

When we Create a Calming Wind-Down Routine for ourselves Before Bed, we end up getting Better, Quality Sleep, which helps our Energy Levels when we Wake up, because we Re-Charged!

The Bottom Line

Feeling Overwhelmed doesn’t have to be our Default FEELing.

With intentional Time Management, Emotional Resilience and FUELing our Body, we CAN Navigate our Responsibilities with Confidence and Calm.

WE are in CONTROL of OUR THOUGHTS, which CAUSE OUR EMOTIONS.

When we don't like the way we are FEELing, it's Time to CHANGE OUR THOUGHTS.
