Steps to Cultivate a Worry-Free Positive MINDSET

Let’s get one thing straight—this Blog is not about Politics, and it's not about Debating Policies, Parties, Leaders, or who’s right and wrong.

Instead, we’re diving into something even more important!  How to Protect our Peace of MIND, How to SHIFT our THINKing so we can Stay Positive, no matter What’s Happening in the World around us.

​By SHIFTing our Daily Thought Habits, we can step out of the Negativity Loop and Reclaim our Energy, Joy, and Focus.

Right now, many of us FEEL the Weight of what's happening.  We're Mentally Drained, Emotionally Exhausted, and Frustrated by the Constant Political Noise.

Anxiety is at an all-time high. The constant Headlines, the Uncertainty, the Fear, the Heated Conversations and Debates, it’s all so much.

Maintaining 'Sanity' so to speak is knowing we can’t always Control What’s Happening “out there", and knowing we CAN Control, How we Respond to it,  How we Show up for Ourselves, our Families, and our Future.

We have to ask Ourselves: Are we letting External Chaos dictate our Inner Peace?

Because rest assured, if we are, then we’re giving away our POWER.

So let's get into Stopping that right NOW.

Why Politics is Affecting Our Peace of Mind

With National and Global Decisions being made, and all the Turbulence in Canada-USA Politics, our Anxiety is running the show for so many of us.  Our Stress Levels are High and many of us our Nervous for our Futures.

Do any of these sound familiar:

✔ Doom-scrolling the news until our stomach is in knots.
✔ Feeling helpless about policies that affect our future.
✔ Arguing with friends and family over political views.
✔ Losing sleep, stress-eating, or feeling overwhelmed.

How it's Affecting Us Emotionally and Mentally:

1. Anxiety & Nervousness Over the “Unknown”

With constant News Updates, many of us FEEL like we’re in a State of Uncertainty.

The “what ifs” take over:
😨 What if things get worse?
😩 What if my future is affected?
😟 What if everything I believe in is challenged?

This ongoing Nervousness, Stress and Anxiety leads to Sleepless Nights, Racing Thoughts, and even Physical Symptoms like Increased Heartrate, Headaches, Stomach Aches, and Fatigue.

We may even angrily reply to a Political Post, Or FEEL Triggered by someone with an Opposite Viewpoint?

The internet has turned into a Political Opposing Zone, and many of us are getting caught in the Crossfire.

Instead of Open-MINDed Discussions, we see:
✔ Name-calling
✔ Insults and personal attacks
✔ Canceling or blocking those with different opinions

​Here’s the problem: Negativity Breeds More Negativity.

Even if we think we’re standing up for what’s right, and if we Engage with Anger and Resentment, we’re only Hurting Ourselves.

What We CAN’T Control vs. What We CAN Control

A lot Feels out of our Control during this Political unrest, and here’s what we’ve learned. 

We CAN'T CONTROL:
❌ The outcome of elections
❌ What politicians say or do
❌ The weather
❌ The past
❌ Other people’s opinions, beliefs, and behavior: 

We have more Control than we Think.

And when we SHIFT our MINDset, we SHIFT our Reality.

When Anxiety, Nervousness or Stress takes ahold of us, ask this One Question:

“What if I focused on what I CAN Control instead of everything I Can’t?”

When we start implementing Small, POWERful MINDset SHIFTs, our Lives will Transform.  How we View things, How we Think about Situations and How we will React to whatever comes our way.

Instead let’s SHIFT our Energy toward what we CAN Control:​​
✅ Our thoughts and reactions
✅ How much news and social media we consume
✅ The way we treat others (even those we disagree with)
✅ The energy we bring to our day
✅ The mindset we cultivate​​

9 Daily Thought Habits for Peace & Positivity 

These POWERful Daily Habits are Secrets to Rewire our MINDset for Positivity and Peace: 

1. Protect Our Mental Space

Set Boundaries with News and Social Media. If watching Political Debates and Politics in General, makes us FEEL Drained, we can choose to Step Back from Negative Media Exposure.  We can give ourselves a Daily Time Limit for political Content and fill the rest of our day with Uplifting, Inspiring Material. 

Or do a 24-Hour News Detox and instead, be intentional about what we Consume Mentally. We will FEEL so much Lighter.

2. Pause Before Reacting

Before jumping into an Argument or Posting a Heated Comment, take a Deep Breath and let's ask ourselves, if this will lead to a Positive Outcome, or just FUEL More Negativity? If it won’t help, Let it GO and scroll by.  There is no point raising our Blood Pressure over things we Can't Control right!

3. Shift from Criticism to Curiosity

What if instead of instantly shutting down opposing views, we ask, “Why do they feel this way?” We don't have to Agree, however, Practicing Understanding will bring US More Peace of MIND.

4.  Flip Our Script

If our Script has been something like this:  “This is terrifying, what if everything goes wrong?” we can FLIP it to “How can I stay Strong and make a Positive Impact?” 

Watching our THOUGHTS, and What we SAY, and FLIPPING THE SCRIPT right away, saves us from FEELing Harmful Negative Emotions that could otherwise, Paralyze us.  Positive MINDset SHIFTS EmPOWER us!

5.  Focus on Health & Fuel Our Body 

Stress takes a toll on our Bodies.  And when we’re under Stress, we Crave Junk Food that only makes us FEEL Worse.

When we Nourish our Bodies instead, with High-Vibrational, RAW Plant Based FUEL, it brings Clarity, High Vibe Energy and Positivity.

When we Focus on What’s Good in our Lives, we naturally Reduce Stress and Anxiety and Increase Positivity.

If we Write Down Three Things we are Grateful for Each Morning, we Re-Wire our MINDset into Positivity, and makes it a POWERful Daily Habit.

By Looking at Phrases, Saying them and Writing them Out, they Help us SHIFT our MINDset to be Positive and Strong.
