PRE-Biotics vs. PRO-Biotics

What's the Difference?

Did You Know Our Gut is the Key to Vibrant Health?

Whenever we Experience Bloating, Sluggish Digestion, Brain Fog or Low Energy, it's probably because of our Gut is not Healthy.

Our Digestive System is Home to Trillions of Bacteria - Both Good and Bad.

Bacteria need FUEL to Thrive and Survive, and that's where Pre-Biotics and Pro-Biotics come in.

In this Blog, we are going to Break Down the Difference and Why we Need them Both. 

Knowing how to Incorporate them into our FUELstyle is also important for Optimal Digestion, Energy and Overall Well-Being!

PRO-Biotics: The GOOD Bacteria

Pro-Biotics are Live Micro-Organisms, referred to as 'Good Bacteria'.

These Beneficial Bacteria naturally reside in our Gut. They help Balance and Replenish the Gut's Microbiome, Crowd out Harmful Bacteria, and Support Digestive Health, Immunity, and even our Mental Health.

These Good Bacteria, are Naturally found in Fermented Foods like Sauerkraut, Kimchi, Miso, Tempeh, and Non-Dairy Yogurt.

Pro-Biotics are like the Gardeners for our Gut, working to keep everything Healthy and Thriving! 

RAW Plant Based Pro-Biotic Foods:

Pre-Biotics are a Type of Fiber found in certain Foods that act as FUEL for our Pro-Biotics (Good Bacteria) in our Gut.

By FUELing our Pro-Biotics, they Thrive, Grow and Multiply, making them even more Effective at their Job.

Without Pre-Biotics, Pro-Biotics can't do their job - Keeping our Gut Healthy

Pro-Biotics are Best Consumed Daily to Ensure a Steady Flow of Beneficial Bacteria into our Gut.  We can easily incorporate Pro-Biotics in our Meals, adding Fermented Foods like Kimchi, Sauerkraut, Pickles into our Salads, Topped with a Miso Dressing, and a Non-Dairy Yogurt (Coconut) for our Dessert.
