Vegetarianism: A Step into the Plant World

How VEGETARIANISM Started:

The Roots of Vegetarianism stretch back over 2,500 years ago, to Ancient Civilizations in India and the Mediterranean Region.

Philosophical Beliefs in Non-Violence towards Animals, and Non-Killing of Animals (Ahimsa), allows for the Souls of People to be Reborn as Non-Human Animals and Vice-Versa.

Almost all Jains, Hindis and Buddhists are strict Vegetarians.

What is the VEGETARIAN FUELstyle Practice:


Vegetarianism is the Practice of Abstaining from the Consumption of Meat (Beef, Lamb, Veal, Pork), Poultry (Chicken, Turkey, Duck, Goose), Fish (all), and Seafood (Prawns, Crab, Lobster, Mussels, Oysters, Scallops, Clams). 

What do VEGETARIANS Consume?

Vegetarians Consume Grains, Legumes, Nuts, Seeds, Vegetables, Fruits, as well as, By-Products such as Cow Dairy (Milk, Cheese, Butter, Yogurt, Creams), Eggs from Poultry and Honey from Bees.  

Most Vegetarian Dishes are Cooked, Fried, Baked, Sautéed, Grilled, Roasted, Steamed, Boiled, Poached, Simmered etc.

Reasons to Change:

​Health Concern is the Number One Reason why People are drawn to Vegetarianism.

Coming in a Close Second, are Ethical considerations regarding Animal Rights, and the Environmental impact of Meat Production.

Reasons to Be a VEGETARIAN:

Vegetarianism offers the most Versatile FUELstyle with its Variety of Plant Based Foods and some Animal By-Product options, while still Focusing on Ethical Concerns about Animal Welfare.  This is also the easiest Plant Based FUELstyle to Start with and Consume as Vegetarians can still eat Dairy Products, Eggs, Honey and Cooked Foods.

How VEGANISM Started:

While Vegan-like Practices can be traced back to Ancient Indian and Eastern Mediterranean Societies, the term "VEGAN" was first coined in 1944 by Donald Watson, who founded the Vegan Society in England. Initially, it meant "Non-Dairy Vegetarianism" before evolving into its current definition, which excludes all Animal Products and By-Products.

What is the VEGAN FUELstyle Practice:

Veganism takes Vegetarianism a step further, by eliminating all Animal Products and By-Products from their FUELstyle. This means No Dairy, Eggs or Honey, Embracing a FUELstyle that is Entirely Plant Based.

What do VEGANS Consume?

The Ethical Treatment of Animals is a Strong Driving Force for many Vegans.  This also Encompasses the Treatment of Animals for their By-Products.  Avoiding this, Vegans feel there are Environmental Benefits of Reducing the Animal Carbon Footprint on the Earth.

Consuming RAW Plant Based Foods is as Ancient as Humanity itself . . .

Genesis 1:29 states, "And GOD said, Behold, I have given you every Herb bearing Seed, which is upon the face of all the Earth, and every Tree, in the which is the Fruit of a Tree yielding Seed; to you it shall be for meat." 

The Concept of a RAW Plant Based FUELstyle Focuses on Consuming UnProcessed, Whole Plant Foods in their most Natural State.

In the late 1800's Maximilian Bircher-Benner, a Swiss Physician and Nutritionist, Advocated for a FUELstyle Rich in RAW Fruits, Vegetables, and Nuts, and in the 20th Century, a Growing Awareness started to catch onto the Benefits of Consuming a RAW Plant Based FUELstyle, for Health, the Environment, Ethical Concerns and the Planet.

A RAW Plant Based FUELstyle Consumes Foods as "GOD intended", as well as Advocating for ALL Creatures and Animals on this Planet to be Respected and Treated with Love and Kindness as an Extension of GOD.

What the RAW PLANT BASED Practice?


A RAW Plant Based FUELstyle consists of Consuming Plants in their Natural State - UnCooked and UnProcessed.

No Harm or UnKindness is Tolerated and therefore No Form of Animal or Animal By-Product is Consumed.

Going RAW strips down Food to its Original and Most Natural State to ensure the Highest Nutrient Value.

What do RAW PLANT BASED Foodies Consume?

NOTE:

RAW Plant Based Foodies ONLY Consume UnCooked Grains and Legumes, Nuts and Seeds, SuperFoods, Sprouts, Sea Vegetables, Fresh Fruits, and Vegetables, and Fermented Foods.

All Foods are UnCooked, and can be Soaked, Sprouted, Dehydrated (up to 118 degrees),  Juiced, Blended, Air Dried and Cold-Pressed keeping Everything in its Natural State - Full of Nutrients.

Anything else that does not fall into these Categories, is not Consumed.  That means anything Cooked, Grilled, Fried, Sautéed etc. is not Consumed. Anything Processed, Packaged, Canned is also not Consumed if it has either been Cooked or requires any form of Cooking.  Dairy, Meat, Eggs, Honey etc. is out.

Reasons to Go RAW:

Consuming 'Living' Foods are Rich in Enzymes, and is🔑KEY to keeping it RAW and therefore, is considered FUEL and not just Food for the Body.  It’s about Embracing Food in its most Natural State for maximum health benefits.
