What is a Water Cleanse?

A Water Cleanse is a form of Fasting that involves abstaining from Solid Foods and Caffeinated, Sugary or Alcoholic Beverages.  A liquid exception can be a Clear Herbal Tea.

Note having only Juices is a different type of Cleanse and in this case, not pertinent.


​Doing a Water Cleanse focuses mainly on consuming Water for Hydration for a set period of time.  The duration varies.  You can do a 24-hour Cleanse, and also known as a weekly Fast, or extend it to multiple days.  In this case, VeRAWonica is doing a 5 Day Water Cleanse starting today, Monday, January 8th, 2024, so stay tuned for her daily Videos.

How to do a Water Cleanse?

First things first.  Doing a 24-hour Fast / Water Cleanse is easier, than extending it to 5 Days or More.  If that's the case, and you want to do a Water Cleanse longer than one day, you absolutely must eliminate any form of Temptation from your FUEL Holder (The Fridge), your Cupboards and any Hiding Spots!  We know you have them!

Doing a Water Cleanse involves drinking ample water throughout the day, and so it's important to have Good Quality Spring Water ready and waiting for you! 

Filling up Water Bottles and Glass Jugs ready on the Kitchen Counter is a Great Idea to remind you to Drink Water.  There are many apps that provide set times to drink your water.  The point is, Water should be right in front of you so you will not forget to drink it.

Why do a Water Cleanse?

The reason to do a Water Cleanse, is to flush Toxins from the Body and Promote Overall Health.  It is also aimed at Detoxifying the Body, Hydrating Cells, and Rejuvenating the System.

There are so many Benefits to doing a Water Cleanse:

Detoxification: Helps flush Toxins from the Body, supporting the Liver and Kidneys in their natural Detoxification processes.

Hydration: Promotes Hydration, benefiting Skin Health, Digestion, and overall Cellular Function.

Mental Clarity: Increase Mental Clarity and Focus During and After a Water Cleanse.

Weight Loss:  A Release in Weight as there is no Caloric intake.  

Digestive Rest: This gives the Digestive System a break, allowing it to ReSet, ReJuvenate, RePair, ReSet, ReStore and ReNEW in order to function more efficiently.

What Kind of MINDset is required?

Embarking on a Water Cleanse requires an Educated and Strong MINDset, along with a Commitment to Health.

🎯 Determination and Commitment:  A strong Commitment to do a Water Cleanse is crucial. It requires Mental Resilience and Determination to stick to Consuming only Water for an extended period, especially when faced with Temptations or Discomfort.

😍 Positive Outlook: It's very Beneficial to have a Positive MINDset as the process involves Focusing on the Benefits of the Water Cleanse, such as, Detoxification, Rejuvenation and a ReNEWed sense of Well-Being and not being Focused on "Hunger Pains".  

🩹Patience and Resilience:  Mental Resilience is KEY during a Water Cleanse.  There are many normal processes the Body goes through as it's 'Cleaning House' and being Patient and just 'going with it'  also requires Resilience.

📕Knowledge and Understanding:  Knowing what your Body is doing while you are helping it by Drinking Water, requires an Understanding of the Body.  Once you know that the Headaches, Sneezing, Running Nose are all signs of Detoxification, you can go with it.  Understanding what your Body is doing - working very hard to Heal you - you become more in tune with your Body and won't fight against it by giving into Temptation.

🧠Mindful Awareness:   Being MINDful of your Body's Signals and Responses (gurgling, pangs etc.), during a Water Cleanse is essential. Listen to your Body, stay attuned to how you Feel Physically and Emotionally, and adjust your Activity accordingly.

🔃Reflection:  As your MIND becomes Clearer with a Water Cleanse, you begin to see things differently.  This is a time to Connect with your Body and not be separate from it.  Know you are One with your MIND, Body and Soul.

📝Preparation and Planning: Having a Clear Plan and Preparing beforehand, contributes to a Successful Cleanse. Understanding the potential Challenges and Planning Strategies to overcome them, can support your MINDset during the process

​🧘🏼‍♀️Self-Care and Compassion:  You may want to take it easy, remember your Body is working very hard on the inside.  Meditate, Practice Yoga, go on Nature Walks, Read and Relax.  This is a time for Self-Care and a time for Self-Compassion.  A long term Water Cleanse can be challenging and therefore, Self-Compassion is of great importance.  Be Gentle with Self, as you are with your Body.  Self-compassion is Vital.  And most of all, be Kind with yourself throughout the process.
