What is the Circulatory System?

The Circulatory System is comprised of The Cardiovascular System and the Lymphatic System, and is a Complex Network of the Heart, Blood Vessels, and Blood.

Its Main Job is to Transport Oxygen, Nutrients, and Hormones throughout our Body while also Removing Toxins and Waste.

What Makes Up Our Circulatory System

Parts of our Circulatory System:

❤️ The Heart – This POWERful Muscle that Pumps Blood throughout our Body 24/7, Beating over 100,000 Times a Day to Deliver Oxygen to our Cells.

🩸 Blood Vessels – Are the Network of Tubes that Carry Blood throughout our Body, Transporting Oxygen, Nutrients, and Waste Products To and From Tissues.  

These Blood Vessels Consist of:

🌳  Arteries – Carry Oxygen-Rich Blood from the Heart to Tissues.
〰 Veins – Carry Oxygen-Poor Blood back to the Heart for Re-Oxygenation, where it is then Pumped to the Lungs for Oxygenation.
💫 Capillaries – Tiny Vessels where Oxygen and Nutrients Transfer to Cells.
🩸  Blood – The "Liquid Highway" of the Circulatory System, Carrying Oxygen, Immune Cells and Nutrients, to keep us Energized and Thriving!

How Our Circulatory System Works

How Our Circulatory System Works:

Our Circulatory System is like a High-Speed Transportation Network!

Our Heart❤️Pumps Oxygen-Rich Blood from our Lung through Blood🩸Vessels called Arteries🌳to the rest of our Body.

The Oxygen is used for Energy, and after our Cells take what they need, Carbon Dioxide and Waste get sent back through the Blood🩸 Vessels called Veins〰 and head back to the Heart.  From there, it is sent to the Lungs for the Exchange of Gases (Carbon Dioxide is expelled when we Exhale).

​It’s an Incredible Cycle, and when it's not Working Properly, our Entire Body Suffers!  beautiful cycle, but when it’s not working well, our entire body suffers.

Signs Our Circulatory System may be Compromised

When our Circulation isn’t working optimally, our Body Sends Signals.
