Keeping Our Holiday Sanity

5 Daily Rituals

December brings so much at once!

Holiday Cards to Write, Gifts to Buy and Wrap, Decorating, Baking, Planning, Hosting - ALL Piled Up on Top of our Regular Work, Life and Responsibilities!  

It’s no surprise our Energy FEELS Stretched, and our MINDS FEEL Pulled in a Dozen Directions!  

So HOW do we Keep our Holiday Sanity?

With a few Daily Rituals, we can get back to Calm, Clarity, and Presence.

Here are the ones we’re using this Season:

1️⃣ ONE Thing at a Time

Holiday Overwhelm happens when we try To Do Everything All At Once.

Before starting any task, whether it's Wrapping, Baking, Decorating, just PAUSE and say: 

“JUST ONE THING at a time.”

This simple Ritual brings us back into the moment, and stops our MIND from Spiraling into the whole month at once.

2️⃣ Add TWO to the Process

Holiday tasks FEEL lighter when we add JOY into them. 

Add JUST TWO of the following to make your Day Lighter, Brighter and more JOYful:

🎵  Listen to Music while Wrapping.
🍪  Light a Candle while Baking.
👖   Wear your PJ's while Decorating.
☕  EnJOY a Warm Drink while Writing Cards. 

When we bring this Ritual into our Lives, we bring Joy into what we already have to do, our Energy Rises and everything FEELS Softer.

3️⃣ Choose Your THREE

Instead of trying to tackle the entire December list, Choose THREE Things that Matter for Today.

JUST THREE!

This Ritual Creates Clarity, Removes Pressure, and Makes our day FEEL Manageable instead of Chaotic!

Everything beyond those THREE becomes a Bonus, not a Burden.

4️⃣ The FOUR Minute Re-Set

Between each Task, we pause for FOUR Minutes.

Take a Few Breaths.
Stretch.
Take a Sip of Water.
Be STILL.

JUST FOUR MINUTES! 

This Mini-Pause Ritual Re-FILLs our Energy and Helps us Handle a Busy Season with more Ease and Patience! 

5️⃣ FIVE Things

At the End of our Busy Day, we want Peace.

When we write down FIVE Things we Accomplished, FIVE Things we are Grateful for, and FIVE Things that Matter to us Most Tomorrow - our Top Priority Things To Do, we will have Closure which Creates Calm.

​Let's Close our Day with Power instead of Pressure and Focusing on what we Did, what we are Thankful for and What what we will do Tomorrow - NOT on What we DIDN'T FINISH. 

This is the Perfect 
Nightly “Close the Loop” Ritual.

❤  Let's Honor Our Boundaries!

December also brings Invitations, Expectations, and Emotional Weight.

Before saying yes, let's check in with ourselves and ask, “Will this Support my Energy or Drain it?”

We’re allowed to Shorten, Adjust, or Decline anything that doesn’t Align with how we want to FEEL this Season.

Boundaries = Peace.

Instead we continuously have random 'squirrel' Thoughts that lead us no where and Thoughts that just LOOP around and around! 

We want to be Healthy.  We want to be Rich.  We want to Love.
