WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I QUIT DRINKING
I want to share a Deeply Personal Journey with you.
My Decision to Quit Drinking Alcohol and Alcoholic Beverages, and the Incredible Transformation when I Stopped Drinking, and How it Impacted my Life.
Quitting Alcohol was one of the Best Decisions I ever made, and the Rewards are many.
My Physical Health Improved, my Emotional Well-Being Soared, and my Financial Situation Stabilized.
I Learned Valuable Lessons about Self-Care, Boundaries, and True Happiness.
And most importantly, I Discovered that I didn’t Need Alcohol to Live a Vibrant, Fulfilling Life.
For years, Alcohol was a regular part of my life. I was a 'Social Drinker'.
That meant, Drinking at Social Events, Parties, Celebrations, After-Work Functions, Dates, Meetups, Girlfriends Nite Out, Movies (VIP), Wine Tours, Restaurants and Bars.
When I had something to Celebrate, or Wanted to Relax or Unwind, or Felt a little Lonely, I would have a Glass of Wine (or two) on my Own. Funny thing is, it never really made me Feel Better.
As I became more Dedicated to my Health and Wellness, it just didn't make sense to me to be putting Toxins into my Body on Purpose, and I began to Question the Role of Alcohol in my Life.
Was it Truly Serving me?
The Answer was a Resounding NO.
So, I Decided to Quit.
And here’s What Happened next . . .
The First Noticeable Change was Physical.
⭐Within Weeks, I Started to Feel More Energetic. I didn't feel Tired anymore.
Note: I was also Drinking a Healthy Organic, RAW GREEN Drink Daily.

⭐My Bags and Dark Circles under my Eyes started to Clear up, and my Eyes no longer had Noticeable Red Blood Vessels - The Whites of my Eyes were becoming more White and less 'Pink".
⭐Alcohol has a lot of Calories, add to that MINDless Eating and Carb Consumption, and so when I Quit, I Released Weight without even trying, especially around my Stomach. It was as if my Body was Letting GO too, of all of the Toxins I had been Pumping into it. I also dropped a Few Sizes!
⭐Alcohol can Disrupt Sleep Patterns. By Removing it from my Life, My Sleep has Improved Drastically. No more Restless Nights, or Waking up Feeling Groggy.
⭐I became Engaged in Meaningful Physically Activities and Started Exercising Daily. The More I Worked-Out, Walked, Hiked, Swam, the Better I Felt.
Emotionally, the Journey was Rewarding.
⭐Having Friends that Partied and Drank was no longer Benefiting me and my Health and Wellness Goals and so, it was time to Part Ways with them. I Forged ahead and Cultivated New and Emotionally Supportive Relationships with Like-Minded People.
⭐My Self-Love Developed, and the more I started to Love Myself, the More I Took Care of Myself.
⭐I Became Calm, Cool and Collected. My Brain was no longer Bombarded with Poisonous Toxins that often Stimulated me to Engage in Wild, Outrageous, Excessive, Loud and Obnoxious Behavior. I am now more Balanced and Centered.
⭐My Mind Became Much Clearer, and therefore, I was able to Process my Emotions more Effectively.
⭐I just Became Happier. A sense of Joy in Living a Cleaner LIFEstyle comes over me on the Daily, and I love that Feeling.
One of the Substantial Benefits of Quitting Alcohol was the Financial Impact.
I hadn’t realized How Much I was Spending on Bottles of Wine, Champagne and Vodka.
Bringing Bottles to Parties, or buying Bottles for my House Parties, and for me, and just How Much I was Spending on Nights out, on Champagne and Martinis.
It's pretty bad when the Guy at the Liquor store asks you if he can help you get your Favorite Bottle of Vodka - (Belvedere of course). That Guy is a RAW News Subscriber and Thanx Guy for the Fine Service you always gave me!
⭐When I Stopped Drinking, my Bank Account Thanked me! The amount of Money I was Spending on Alcohol was Ridiculous, and I started Noticing the Difference!
⭐Overall, I saved Money by NOT Spending it on a Non-Value Item, and on a Liquid that was Toxic to my Body.
⭐I was able to take my Weekly Alcohol Budget and Invest it in things that Truly Mattered.
One of the Biggest Lessons I Learned was that it’s Perfectly OK to say NO. (Check out our Blog on The Art of Saying NO).
It took me a while to say No to Drinking, Having a Drink, being asked if I Drink, and being asked What I want to Drink. And these are all Different Scenarios and came with a lot of Responses!
The Hardest NO for me was to my Previous Girlfriends that I used to Party with. I couldn't figure out How to Say NO, so I would fill up a Martini Glass with Water and Drink it, just so I wouldn't be Ridiculed for not Drinking.
When I finally got the Courage and Confidence to say NO, I'm not Drinking anymore, I got a lot of "you're no fun", "come on one drink isn't going to kill you", "don't be a party pooper", "what, you're going to be the only one NOT drinking tonite?".
How I finally got enough Nerve to say NO . . .
I went out for lunch with a Friend of mine, who I knew didn't Drink Alcohol and never has. The Waitress asked him if he'd like a Cocktail, Beer or a Glass of Wine, he said . . . Ready . . . "No Thanks. I don't Drink, but I'll take an Iced Tea instead".
WHAT???? THAT WAS IT??? NO THANKS!!!!
So my Friends, I finally was able to Say, "No Thanks, I don't Drink, but I'll take a Spring Water with no ice instead".
Whether it’s a Social Invitation or a Drink offered at a Party, Setting Boundaries is Essential for our Well-Being and Staying True to our Health Goals.
And guess what? True Friends Respect our Choices!
When you allow your True Authentic Self to come out and play, all alone, without Booze, you CAN BE FUN, FUNNY and HAVE FUN!
I started Exploring New Ways to have Fun and to Socialize WITHOUT Alcohol.
I found FUN in other Events, Tours and Gatherings that were Meaningful to me.
I went on a Wine Tour in Niagara-on-the-Lake riding a Bike. Afterward at the Winery, I drank my Water and bought an Organic, NON-Alcoholic Wine.
I went to an Olive Orchard in Crete where everyone Celebrated with Wine after the Tour. I drank my Water and bought Organic Olive Oil.
I have Deeper, more Meaningful Conversations with other People that didn't Drink, and found an Alcohol-Free Social Life that is Rich and More Fulfilling.
Sundays don't have to be for HangOvers, having Brunch while wearing Sunglasses, and Messy, I-don't-Care-Hair.
Sundays don't have to be for Movie Binging, Napping and Eating Carb, Greasy Food because we feel so Bad, Dehydrated, have a Headache, and of course, Swearing to NEVER Drink Again!
Now my Sundays are FUNdays!
I Take a Long Hike as soon as the Sun Rises, or Head to the Beach when it's not too Hot. Going early let's me find a Front-Row Parking Spot and I love that! It's Quiet first thing in the Morning and it's Peaceful. Two things I've come to Appreciate.
I can Choose to do what I want, go where I want and when I want. Nothing holds me back because I'm Alert, Energized and Clear-Headed.
And even if I don't go anywhere, I can be Productive at home with HouseKeeping, Gardening, Prepping my FUEL Drinks and Meals and Getting Organized for my Powerful and Successful Week Ahead.
Without the Haze of Alcohol, my MIND is Clearer, and I make Better Decisions and, no longer have 'Drunken Regrets'.
I don't have Vaguely-Remembered Memories of the Night Before, or Regrets of some of the Shameful things I did and said, rather, I am Present in the Moment, which Enriches all of my Experiences and Interactions.
Having a Clear MIND helps me in Every Way, and therefore, I don't miss Drinking Alcohol at all.
Without Alcohol to Distract and Decoy me, I can work on Maintaining a Positive and Clear MINDset in order to Work on, and Produce, the Results I want in my Life.
As the saying goes "Birds of a Feather, Flock together". I was hanging out with Party People with the same Destructive Habit I had. Tempers Flared. Fights happened in the Ladies' Room. Damage was done in Restaurants. Friendships were Attacked. Behavior was Bad when things got Out-of-Control with too much Alcohol.
It was all Funny at the time, however looking back at some of the things that I did, I acknowledge it was not Funny for many People around me and today, Alcohol-Free, I am very aware of People around me and how my Actions and Behaviors can Affect them. Now, I am all about Radiating Positive Energy and Love.
Quitting Alcohol helped me Gravitate towards People who are into Personal Growth and Empowerment. They are Interesting, Grounded, Listen Attentively, Add Value and are Supportive, Kind and Loving. My connections are Deeper and More Authentic.
And now my Birds of a Healthy Feather, Flock and have Fun together.
With less Time spent on Drinking and Drink-Driven Socializing, I spend my Valuable Time on more Meaningful things.
I work on Building my Business, Personal and Financial Growth, Self-Empowerment, Quality Friendships, My FUEL, My Fitness, My Health, Coaching, Courses, RAW News, Blogs, Social Media, and Building my YouTube Channel.
I look forward to New Endeavors - My Upcoming PODCAST for example.
Taking Alcohol out-of-my LIFE has been a LIFE-SAVING Move on my Part.
Quitting alcohol was one of the best decisions I ever made.
When I Quit Drinking Alcohol and Alcoholic Beverages, I DROPPED the Façade, Self-Loathing, Buffering, HangOvers, Weight, Party Friends, Memory Loss, Bad Choices, and Bad Behaviour.
When I Stopped Drinking Alcohol and Alcoholic Beverages, I GAINED a Clear Head, Confidence, Self-Love, Health, Wellness, New Like-Minded Friends, Better Sleep, Happiness, and No Regrets.
I had some Amazing Times while I was Drinking, Great Laughs, and some Fabulous Memories. I knew a lot of People and went out all of the time.
I don't Miss it. My Fun and Laughs are Different, more Authentic, Natural, Meaningful. I enjoy New Activities that bring Great Joy into my Life. I am Confident, and Loving towards myself and others.
My Drinking Days are now just Memories.
And one thing I know for sure, Alcohol is POISON, it's TOXIC, it's a FACADE, a BUFFER, DESTRUCTIVE, DECEPTIVE and can be ADDICTIVE.
